Portrait of St Ignatius (Brianchaninov) by Elena Borowski

St Ignatius (Brianchaninov) and His Spiritual Heritage in Our Time

As the coronavirus continues to impact us all, we again face the perennial question of the role of suffering in the Christian life. Providentially, Holy Trinity Publications has been blessed to prepare a book perfectly suited to this time, a thematic collection of writings drawn from the letters of the 19th century Russian bishop and writer, St Ignatius (Brianchaninov). We joined Elena Borowski, translator of this new book, in conversation to discuss the spiritual treasury contained in St Ignatius’s writings, their impact on her own life, and what they might offer us in the current tumult of a worldwide pandemic. Time was also allotted for questions from the audience.
